MOVES LIKE JAGGER

Friday, August 12, 2011

I had multiple names for this post including: "Night" and "Hair" because seriously, how freaking long is my hair getting? I've been needing a haircut for a long time... Shouldn't admit to this but the last time I got it cut was 9 months ago! Yes, 9... I'm going to book a hair appointment in the very near future but I'm always so reluctant for the chop because I'm scared of having half my hair cut off. And it's taken me so long to grow! I'm thinking of getting it thinned heaps (because it's so thick and gives me a headache sometimes when I have it tied up...),  having my fringe straightened up and getting lots of long layers throughout and having the front layered quite a bit. Yeah that doesn't really make sense... So well done if you have just understood that! Ok I better go to sleep... I'm ranting. Meh.

P.s. these photos were taken at my friend Elyse's 18th a couple of weeks ago.

RE:STACKS

Monday, April 11, 2011

I wore this in the weekend when I went out to the movies with some friends. I'm looking and feeling really gross at the moment since I'm sick... So not fun! I tried going to school today and it only lasted one spell until I felt like I was going to die and so now I'm back at home in bed. Only one more week of school left until the holidays! I can't wait! This term has been far too long...

TIME IS A TRAIN

Sunday, April 3, 2011

It's already the end of the weekend! Time has been going far too fast! It's already April which is kind of scary because I have SO much to do by the end of the school term. But enough of my ranting...

Had a bit of a quiet weekend... My friend taught me how to bake a cake. I know I know, baking a cake shouldn't be too hard should it? But believe you me, I am the most shocking baker in the world! It just doesn't seem to go right... so my friend endeavoured to teach me how to make a chocolate cake. And it actually turned out pretty good! Only the edges were a little bit burnt... It was rather a big accomplishment for me...

Kind of a basic outfit today. Although I wanted to show you my new(ish) bag. I had been looking for a new everyday bag. But it needed to be the right size and right slouchyness and I wanted to have a satchel as well. So when I stumbled along this bag in a Sportsgirl sale for only $20, I couldn't have been more happy! Plus, it was the last one there yay!

In other news, it would be absolutely amazing of you if you could pretty please watch this video! My friend in my music class has entered a competition for Hitachi so that she can win $10 000. Thanks SO much!

EET

So I told you I would get some photos of my friend Emma! And here they are...
We went to the waterhole on Sunday afternoon with the intention of swimming but never actually went swimming... But it was a nice place to take photos anyway! I love how Emma dresses, she can pull pretty much everything off. It's rather unfair.

HOLD ON

Friday, February 11, 2011

I thought I'd share with you some items of clothing that I got overseas... I bought this chambray shirt from Kuala Lumpur and I love how versatile it is. You can pretty much wear it with everything! Over dresses, unbuttoned, buttoned etc. This time I wore it buttoned up and tucked into high waisted shorts. I like the lace detailing on the shoulders and pockets which makes it a bit more unique compared to the millions of chambray shirts in the shops at the moment.

I also got this cameo ring from Rubi which I found in the midst of all these sunglasses for only $3! It's funny how sometimes the cheapest things become your favourite things...

WHITE BLANK PAGE

Saturday, November 27, 2010

So I've pretty much been inside studying in any of my free time. It's absolutely horrible when I look out the window and see the beautiful weather and I have to be stuck inside at my desk... Most of my friends have already finished their exams which is so unfair! I still have two more before I can go on holiday...

Most of my outfits have been blah because I haven't been outside (read top paragraph) but today I did to go check out the new Dotti that has opened in town. I didn't end up buying anything since I thought it would be better to spend my money when I go overseas... Only four more days till I leave!!

ISLANDS

My new floral oxfords... Sorry about the photos, the light was wierd and they came out wrong... Well at least you can still kind of see what everything looks like. By the way, I was playing around with my sister's new iPod Touch in the second photo. There's a really addictive game on it called Angry Birds haha!

WEDDING BELLS

Friday, November 5, 2010

This is what I wore to a friends wedding today. I still can't believe he's married! It seems like only yesterday that we were growing up together... He's married very young at only nineteen years old but they are very good together and I'm happy for them!

p.s. unfortunately I couldn't get very good photos at the actual wedding which was a shame...

BOATER

BOATER

This would be a perfectly put together outfit for me. I don't usually do any sort of hat or hair piece (unless it's bows, ribbons or some headbands) because I don't think they suit me with my haircut... But I saw a boater hat on a girl with a fringe like mine and I think I might be able to pull it off...

I've started putting together a lookbook of the different items of clothes that I want to buy overseas or get tailored. It's growing every day!

Forget me not ring: fredflare.com

MINT

Sunday, October 17, 2010

I got these beautiful vintage mint-coloured heels from my friend yesterday. She volunteer works at an op shop and gave these to me. Luckily for me, she always gives me the clothes/shoes that are a little bit too small for her! I love $2 shoes...

We went to the Girls Expo together this weekend. It was pretty much "female heaven" with stalls promoting GHD hair care, fudge, licorice, clothes and more. Plus there was a catwalk where we got to see a new range of sunglasses for the summer. I nearly won a free pair of sunglasses as well! But unfortunately, my bad luck of winning stuff decided to pop up it's ugly head again... The funny thing was, the person who ended up winning them was a man... Something's not quite right is it?

Oh, and by the way I've used an old camera of the families to take these outfit photos. That's why they are such bad quality. Can't wait to get my own new camera!

GYPSY

Thursday, October 7, 2010

I just realised how fitting this post is! I've been looking after my little sisters rabbit while she's away and her name (the rabbit) is Gypsy. Without noticing it, I was wearing my new "Gypsy" ballet flats... Ha...
You wouldn't believe how much personality this little rabbit has! She wouldn't let me get on with my reading and I couldn't leave her running around with the cat literally 1 metre away. Anyway, I had fun playing with her instead!

linen shirt: Op shop
