NOSTALGIA

Thursday, July 21, 2011

These photos make me miss summer and the holidays so so much! Today I got these photos from my lovely friend, Sara and looking through them  made me feel very nostalgic. Oh how I wish for these sorts of days again! Where there is constant sun, no stress or pressure from school and time to do whatever you want...

Also head over to Sara's blog called Feathermarque to have a look! These photos are courtesy of her and my friend Amy.

IN THE MAIL

Monday, July 18, 2011

Yaaay my Asos package finally arrived! Happy with everything apart from the shoes... They are a size too big so now I'm contemplating what to do with them. I could send them back but postage would probably be more than the shoes cost so I'm considering selling them on Trade Me. Hmmm... Also, couldn't be bothered ironing the tops before taking photos sorry!

WAITING ON THE WORLD TO CHANGE

Sunday, July 17, 2011

Thought I'd share with you a snippet of my afternoon yesterday. It really was a beautiful day, with the sun shining and no wind at all! Felt like summer was coming back again... So I decided to head to the beach. Sometimes I like to go to the beach by myself and I just sit there on the rock that I always sit on and ponder the world. Oh, don't worry I'm not some creepy loner! Haha but at times, it's nice to have some quiet time to yourself... I love the beach, it's one of my favourite places to go and so I use any excuse possible to go there. Especially on such beautiful days as such!

(P.s. please excuse the poor quality phone pictures...)

AMELIE

Thursday, July 14, 2011

Amelie. I flipping love this movie! Definitely up there with my favourite movies along with 500 Days of Summer. I just love the photography, beautiful french (even though I need subtitles :(...) and the soundtrack is amazing! Does anyone know where I can get the sheet music for La Valse D'Amelie? Yann Tierson is one talented composer!

On another totally unrelated note... I passed my theory exam with distinction! Quite chuffed with myself if I do say so myself... Annnnd yay it's finally holidays! Time to catch up on some sleep I think.

ASOS LOVES

Sunday, July 10, 2011

Love love love ASOS sales! Plus free shipping!
I'm always conscious of buying clothes online... This is my first time buying from ASOS and I wasn't too sure of the sizings. So I opted for flowy tops just in case my size is slightly off. Now I just have to wait for summer to come around...

THE SECRET GARDEN

Saturday, July 9, 2011

"You have the key to enter the Secret Garden"

So after months of meetings, organising and time our beautiful school ball was created! The theme was "The Secret Garden" and I have to say it was amazing! Being part of the ball committee was such a privilege because I got to choose and decided on everything from the theme to the last little decoration. I was so proud of the committee because we all worked so well together and everything was pulled off without a hitch! (Apart from the ivy started to die a little bit on the arches...) The feature wall took such a LONG time to do (see photo below) because we literally stapled metre long pieces of ivy to the wall. But I think it was worth it. don't you?

Well... To be honest, I didn't really want to put a whole lot of photos up of me and all my friends because of privacy reasons... But here's a few of me and two of my best friends. Please excuse the cheesy 'typical ball photo' pictures but these were the best I had showing my dress! When I was overseas in the summer holidays, I had this dress tailor-made in Cambodia. Such a shame that it will probably only ever be worn once though... I was a bit annoyed about my hair because the hairdresser didn't exactly do it how I wanted but ah well... All in all, it was a beautiful night and I'm so happy that all our hard work paid off! I think everyone really enjoyed it and that's really what matters!

How cute were our year 12 helpers??
